Conflict Minerals, RoHS and REACH Statements

Conflict Minerals Statement

This statement is regarding the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010’s conflict minerals disclosure.  MAIN Manufacturing Products, Inc. certifies that our products do not contain any of these minerals as a necessary component.  Our flanges are made here in Michigan, generally from low carbon steel or stainless steel (304L & 316L).

MAIN Manufacturing also maintains a file of our vendors “Conflict Minerals Statement” to ensure that none of our raw material or tooling is in violation of the act.

RoHS Statement

MAIN Manufacturing Products, Inc. products adhere to environmental regulations established by the current European Union (EU) RoHS directive (2015/863). This directive establishes acceptable limits of certain hazardous materials in electrical and electronic equipment.

The RoHS directive prohibits heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium, and flame retardants such as polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) also plasticizers such as bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) in electrical and electronic equipment, except where exempted.  MAIN Manufacturing Products does manufacture a few products out of leaded steel following the levels necessary for the exemption.  If requested at time of order, reformulated products can be sold and would be noted on the shipper. Be advised that MAIN Manufacturing Products, Inc. does not physically analyze its products for these substances and relies on mill certification.

REACH Statement

The EU has enacted a chemical registration requirement known as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals). A goal of REACH is to identify certain substances that are manufactured or imported into the EU.

MAIN’s products are solid metallic products which are, to the best of our knowledge and belief, generally classified as “articles” and therefore do not need to be registered under REACH.
